We are pleased to offer a warm welcome to Jo Djora, Tom O’Connor, Dominique Lewis, Michele Fairhall and Neil Carroll to the Trust Centre Team.
We are delighted that Jo Djora will join the centre team as one of our Senior Education Leaders. Jo’s current role is Headteacher of an outstanding school in London, The Hyde. She took on the school graded as ‘Special Measures’ by Ofsted and less than two years later secured an ‘Outstanding’ in all areas. The Outstanding report describes Jo’s leadership as ‘under the headteacher’s inspired and relentless leadership, the school has made rapid progress in the 18 months it has been an academy’. Jo has experience of working across schools as part of a large MAT, The Elliot Foundation Academies Trust, which currently has 28 schools. This work includes being seconded by the Trust to be an interim executive headteacher of a number of schools across the Country.
Dominque Lewis has been appointed as our new Head of Human Resources, working with our Trust centre team, starting in September. This is an important role for us all. Dom has considerable experience of working in this area and we look forward to the support she can provide.
Tom O’Connor has joined us as Trust Estates Lead. Prior to this, Tom had been working as Site Manager at St Columba CE Primary School and providing support to all schools in our Cathedral Hub. Tom has extensive experience in facilities management and health and safety and will be a real asset to the Trust.
For the past 12 years, Michele has been the Accounts and HR Manager for a nursery in Hove, where she managed all aspects of the financial management of the nursery. She have also been a Governor for the past 12 years at a primary school where her children attended. She undertook many roles including; Safeguarding Lead, financial account management, data, curriculum and the Chair. She has also been through the process of conversion to an academy and has extensive knowledge of school management.
Neil Carroll has joined the Trust as Finance Assistant providing additional support to the finance team and schools. Neil is a welcome addition to the Trust and brings with him a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills. Neil has worked in Multi Academy Trust finance for the last 4 years. Previously, he gained a wide range of knowledge in the banking and insurance industries during a 22 year period.
