To review the use of exclusions across the Trust
To adopt and ensure the implementation of a behaviour policy for the Academy
To discuss (chair) with the Headteacher any suggested permanent exclusions using the exclusion checklist as set out in policy
To convene a committee to review the permanent exclusion of a pupil; fixed term exclusions exceeding 15 school days per term; pupil missing a public examination by the Headteacher
To ensure and monitor that there is a culture of rewarding positive behaviours
  To prepare a Trust- wide behaviour policy for adoption by the Trustees
To review the overall pattern of exclusions and to report on the same to the Trustees with a particular focus on groups over- represented in exclusion data
To review the academy’s approach to rewarding positive behaviours (SEL)
To prepare a behaviour policy for the Academy for adoption by the LGB/Transition Board
To adopt the Trust wide exclusion policy based on the DfE model based on legal requirements
To exclude a pupil for a fixed term and advise Trust
To permanently exclude a pupil only following discussions with the CEO or DCEO and Chair of LGB prior to the final decision. Regard must be taken to the statutory duties in relation to children with SEND
