To ensure DCAT’s policies on all HR matters (Employee Handbook) are implemented in the Academy.
To monitor and scrutinise the implementation of the Trust's policies at the Academy for HR matters including the appointment, induction and performance management of staff, pay review process and procedures for dealing with disciplinary matters, grievances and dismissal
To take regard of the Headteacher performance management review and targets where not directly involved
To support schools with restructure processes
To appoint, suspend and dismiss members of the Centre Team (save as reserved to the Board)
To appoint (with Diocese representation), suspend and dismiss the Headteacher (in consultation with the Trust Board)
To conduct the performance management of Headteacher
To agree one off payments over £10,000 to a maximum of £30,000 in one academic year
To propose suspending or dismissing teaching and non-teaching staff in line with policy (working closely with LGB/Transition Board chair and Executive)
To conduct the performance management of staff in the Academy
To approve applications for secondment and leave of absence
