Partnerships

DCAT is an outward facing Trust and seeks to learn from others as well as share our expertise.

Our primary partnership is with the Diocese Education Department. Our schools enjoy a close working relationship and our planned enhanced partnership arrangements, which is paid for by the Trust, will include:

  • School Improvement Partner
  • Unlimited access to training
  • SIAMs/Church School reviews

We are the Diocese of Chichester Academy Trust and we were established as the first Church Academy Trust in the Diocese. We are based at Church House in Hove and work in harmony with the Diocese staff.

Our Trust has a strong track record of working with a larger Church of England Trust in Norwich. This partnership includes senior colleagues working together to share what works and what could be improved with reciprocal visits informed this work.

Our CEO was instrumental in establishing this alliance which is focused on working together in West Sussex, championing the work of our schools. The group works closely with the Regional Schools Office and the local authority to keep our schools fully informed and importantly share best practice.

Our Trust has a formal partnership with the highly successful independent school in Hurstpierpoint. The partnership is based on sharing expertise and our Trust benefits from the outstanding facilities the College has to offer.

Christ Church, one of our schools is St Leonards on Sea has a partnership with Woodard Schools. This is firmly rooted in outstanding Church School provision.

DCAT’s KS2 progress scores are above average in all areas. They put DCAT in the top 20% of all Trusts nationally and 2nd out of all Church of England Trusts.
