The DCAT hardship fund is open to applications from parents who are in extreme financial distress and is designed to provide an emergency one-off non-repayable amount to buy food or other immediate basic need.
The maximum amount payable will be £50.

Do note that following submission of the form, we will request further details or documents from you by email in order to allow us to fully assess your application. These may include:
- Scanned or photo proof of your identity
- Scanned or photo of your child’s identity
- You must be able to evidence that you are struggling to meet the basic needs of a child or young person you’re responsible for.’Basic needs’ include accommodation, heating, food and hygiene.
- A current UK bank statement
You will only be able to apply for one grant per family. All applications will be assessed against need and on a first-come, first-served basis.
